The Letting Go (why does it hurt so much ?)

As some of you know, I had some company the last few weeks by two amiable girls from Belgium. We did some hanging out, went out a couple of times and basically had a great time.

One thing I didn’t thought was possible, is them getting close to me (as in “I’d really like them to stay some time”) and as I gave them a ride to the train station yesterday, I really had my problems. Out of the sudden I had a feeling not to let them go, or is it the feeling to let friends (and I’m talking about real friends) slip by, without even knowing them for more than 3 weeks.

Well, it’s too late now; they are back in Eupen by now (hopefully πŸ˜₯ ) and I’m probably never gonna see them again.

  1. Hi there,

just came across your blog on planet gentoo and was a little surprised when I read that the two girls you were with are from Eupen, because that’s where I work and it’s only 3 km from where I live! Don’t know how you got to know them tough, I couldn’t find it in the other entries πŸ˜‰

    Such a small world…

  2. Well, they were here on some EU sponsored project/exchange called DaVinci, which means you spend ~4 weeks in another school / internship business (in another country of course). My brother was in Eupen for 4 weeks back in November, and those two came to Stralsund in exchange. That’s basically how I know them πŸ™‚

In fact, it’s really a small world πŸ˜€
